Tumblr Time

For this assignment we were asked to help create the beginning os AKIRA's new tumblr page. Using diffrent forms of media and picture's my tumblr post reflects AKIRA and the summer trends.


This dress is the style of the moment. Simple and classic it can be dressed up for a garden party or worn to a nice brunch. The material is light and airy sutible for blowing in the summer winds. There is an elegence about its simplicity that makes this dress pop while remaining subtle.

 
This whole outfit works together to create a sexy sophisticated look. The shoes are gorgous. Not to much so they don't draw attention but enough to get noticed. The top is very trendy. the lace makes it more feminin and sexy, but the blazer tones down the look making it appear elegent. The simple ruched black skirt adds texture while emphasising the shirt as the focus creating a perfectly balanced look. 
 
 
Classic white. This is the summer power look. The accessories keep the outfit stylish and sheek while allowing the individual to show her personality. The jaket and shorts are a nice classic look that can be spiced up for a more excentric day or tones down as classic day wear. This outfit is ideal for a lunch day or shopping.  
 
This dress is for those willing to take a risk. The bright colors and excentric pattern lets the world know that you have entered the room. This dress is good for summer parties and upscale events. It has a style and flirtiness and can be paired with simple assecories to tone down the look.
 
 
Spring and summer will be here before you know it and there's so many new styles to choose from. Whether your looking for simple classic pieces, or striped and patterns resort wear has it all. There's you elegent summer dresses, crazy stripped shoes, and classic assesories.
 
 
Of course in preparing for spring and summer we have to prepare for those spring and summer nights. The trend this year is lacy, sheer, sparkly, and flirty. These dresses give examples of what to wear these summer nights.
 
This is the promotional video for AKIRA's spring/summer fashion show held recently at the lyric opera. I think it depects the trends of the season in an artictic way that shows fashion is more than an industry it is an art. When shopping for the spring it's impotant to remeber fashion is not just about trends. It's about expression. It's about art.
 
This song is uplifting and depicts the mood of spring. It is a song about letting go and embracing beauty. It was used at a photo shoot and I think it goes well with the fashion depicted in the video as well as AKIRA Chicago's spring/summer line.
